Dear Journal,
I am trying to get back into the swing of things with editing my most recent WIP. The task can seem very daunting when you look at hundreds of pages of text, a massive mountain of prose requiring tweak and changes. It’s enough to drive a person crazy.
It seems utterly impossible when you look at it all as a whole. For this reason, I’m just taking it two or three chapters at a time. I would just set aside a certain amount of time to edit, but I would hate to leave a chapter half way through the editing process.
I have some fellow writers that read these posts from time to time, so I’d like their opinion on this. How do you edit? How do you approach the least liked part of our craft?
