Dear Journal,
I’m writing this in the middle of the night, sitting on my back porch. It was a long night at work, long but productive. And though I was exhausted when I got home, there was more work to be done.
I had been lingering at the end of this manuscript for a couple of weeks now, and the word count skyrocketed as more and more details found its way into this book. That’s the funny thing about writing–you have an idea how things will be, but then the characters interfere and change it all.
I got home, knowing that the end was just hanging there. I could have easily gone to sleep, and my body was begging for my bed, but I couldn’t rest yet.
I did it. I finished my current work in progress, Kingdoms of Clay, book two in my yet unpublished series, Children of Bast.
And now it’s time for sleep.
Good night, world…
