After years of writing and editing … banging my head against a wall and editing some more, Plod On, Sleepless Giant exists. It is no longer a dream, or a figment of my imagination, lurking in the back of my mind. It’s a real book that I can hold in my hands, which I find myself doing far too often–as if making sure it truly is here.
It was only a couple of weeks ago that I had the launch party for my very first novel. It was held at Dimarco’s, a local bar here in Columbus and a location in the book. I was admittedly a bit nervous, arriving two hours before the event to set up–which is entirely too early. With the help of my siblings(Katie, Kevin, and Meagan) and my girlfriend Laura, we had everything set up quickly. A big stack of books and a few pens on a table, along with a poster I had made, and I was ready … ready to sign, ready to schmooze … ready to send my book out into the world.
It was a success, even though the weather was less than satisfactory, and nearly unbearable. A lot of family and friends made appearances and I also got the opportunity to meet a lot of nice people, as well. I signed a lot of books and gave a short reading, and my friend Joe Reisinger(who designed the cover) was also there to help me through it all.
But the trek will continue on as I continue to spread the word of my book. It is now available for Nook, as well as Kindle and paperback. There’s also a new website for the book which has links to where you can buy the book, info about me and the book, as well as links to reviews of the book!
I thank you for taking a moment to look it over! Thanks for reading, and Plod On!
